About IMT Exhibition 2024

The IMT Exhibition has been a leading event in the Czech Republic's metalworking industry since 1998, held every even year alongside the MSV Exhibition. After a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IMT Exhibition returned to Brno in 2022.The show was a huge success and therefore you can already look forward to the next edition in 2024. This biennial event is a collaboration between the BVV Trade Fairs Brno and CECIMO, the European Association of the Machine Tool Industry, and is held concurrently with the International Engineering Fair, which targets the Eastern European market.

IMT Exhibition 2024 Information

IMT 2024 will showcase machine tools and forming machines, precision tools and accessories, flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) and automation solutions, precision tools, accessories for metalworking and forming, service and repairs of metalworking and forming machines, hand-operated tools, manual non-mechanized tools, and more, all focused on the Machine Tools sector. The concurrent Engineering Fairs provide a useful synergy, allowing visitors to see more items, interact with more experts from many sectors, and maybe make more purchases.

Major Czech and worldwide manufacturers and suppliers of metalworking equipment, machine tools, forming machines, and quality control for the machining and forming industry will be featured at the IMT Brno 2024. In 2018, 467 exhibiting firms from 18 countries visited the IMT, with 54 percent of them coming from outside the country, primarily from Germany and Italy. Metalworking machines accounted for about half of the exhibitors, followed by precision tools and shaping equipment.

IMT Exhibition 2024 Highlights

While it’s still early days, IMT Exhibition 2024 will again be a great opportunity to connect with clients and suppliers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and other countries. According to previous questionnaire findings, the satisfaction rate of exhibitors increased from 84 percent to 96 percent in 2018. Visitors' satisfaction also increased from 89 percent to 94 percent year over year. There were hardly any guests who were dissatisfied.

The fair's impact on participating firms continues to be beneficial and is growing rapidly. Compared to the fair in 2016, it boosted its commitment to overseas exhibitors. In 2018, exhibitors developed more international interactions, and the majority of machines and technologies were from international companies. Compared to 2016, the number of Czech goods decreased.
